Denmark First Rehearsal

ChrisB on Tue, 05/02/2017 - 14:33

Denmark delivers a superb performance with fantastic camera interaction.

It is not the strongest song in the field by any means, but I'm pretty much blown away how well she lifts this song. The performance is much more controlled than it was in DMGP.

My only caveat: The current outfit doesn't match the backdrop. Not the final thing, is it?

Denmark First Rehearsal

Not a fan of Lighthouse X I'm afraid. Second run was much better than the first one, which was stopped three times. The boys are competent singers but the song is just too middle down the road.

The performance here in Stockholm is pretty much the same as the one we saw a few months ago in the national final. Backdrop colour scheme: You guessed it right... Blue and white again... Come on SVT be a bit more adventurous.

I simply can not get excited about Denmark, sorry.

First rehearsals for the Big five and Denmark

I can't believe it's over a week since I first went to get my accreditation badge here in the press centre. Now I'm all geared up to watch the first rehearsals of the big 5 countries and Denmark.

The Eurovision Song Contest has now really really kicked in.

The red carpet is later on today as well, together with a great night planned in the Euroclub.

I'm sure we'll have loads and loads of fun today!

The night before departure

Well well,

here we are. If you'd asked me four months ago, whether I would be going to the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen...I would have given you the type of look sharpey dogs do so naturally.... Yeah those droopy oh so sad look on . Sad sad droopey Dimi... But the opportunity arose, to become part of the ESCKAZ team this year and, as anyone would I grabbed it with both my hands.

So here we are, three months later... all geared up with a massive suitcase, only bought the other day, full of clothes, bought over the last few weeks, face cremes, hair gels (don't ask!!), flags (don't ask either), and God knows (not really) what else for a fortnight of Eurovision extravaganza.

My excitement is growing by the minute, and at this rate, I'll probably be jumping up and down by the time I arrive in the airport early tomorrow morning (5.00 am ish). I'm not entirely sure kangaroo Dimi's are allowed on board unless they're caged in, but I'm willing to see what happens.

It's my first real life Eurovision, which means I'm so grateful to be able to share it with you all. I'm really hoping you'll Join Us, The ESCKAZ team and myself, in our Eurovision journey this year. (See what I did there? ;-) ).

See you in Copenhagen!
