Problems with security guards at the contest
Problems with the security have exceeded all reasonable limits, so you have to report publicly about it via blog and spend our precious time on coverage of something that should not interfere in the contest. The statement of executive producer of the show Ruslan Tkachenko at a press conference that the organization goes without a hitch seems to be a really bad joke then. Is it really so difficult to understand that the media creates image of the contest, and create decent conditions for it's work? It does not require anything special!
Details under more
1) Press is being relegated to the middle of nowhere in the hall after a line of mobile camera. And in Limassol and in Rotterdam, the press could stand directly next to the stage. Somehow, the press is considered less important than the participating delegations, which are allowed closer - this has never happened before!
2) For some reason, some press still enters that area. With what bribe one can do it - difficult to say. For example, generally outrageous in my opinion is a case that has allowed the security guard Georgiy Kuchinskiy - at the time of the incident with Yura Demidovich on the stage (not near, but on the stage itself!) was found operator of Ukrainian channel Inter who had tried to film the injured boy. The Belarusian delegation was simply in shock, as they never allowed Inter channel in, also taking into account that in a few minutes before that leading press was being refused to be allowed a little bit closer to the stage with nearly 20 minutes of disputes, even with a permission from the head of the delegation. That's violation of all norms! Also in the area of delegations were constantly found Belgian reporters.
Who can grant permission to enter there - is unclear. Normally it would be, either you don't let anyone. First they say that HoD can let someone in, then when he comes and allows, they say that Kazakhstan press is not included in the delegation of Belarus and he can only allow the Belarusian press, and so we must obtain permission from the A1 - that is, the main organizers of the competition. Why not give permanent permission to leading press? What will change of two meters distance, besides that we will improve the quality of photos and we will be able to immediately discuss all issues with the delegations, without shouting? Utter insanity!
3) We have to shy away via 4th entrance, where they can elementarly put a guard on the bottom of the stairs of the 3rd entrance, so if you need to have control over the passage there, he may be turning the press left, and others - on the right. Badges in the hall are checked constantly, as if there it's not swine flu which is rampant, but martial law declared. What a nonsense, why technicals access is everywhere, and the press is almost under siege?
4) We were even tried to be prohibited to enter in the lounge area of the press and zone press interview, not that funny? Press was not allowed where it is - the press lounge area. We're always interrupted in the work the work, guards clearly see that we're recording interviews, but absolutely rudely interfe. Apologies were brought only twice and then once more with a sneer. It seems that half the guards do not use their heads at all. Always they have to call their leader, who is solving the situation and it always turns out that we were right, but not them. Area for an interview is marginalized in the press center at 3rd floor. Why it was not placed near the exit from the backstage on 2nd floor (where the press is not allowed), near which everyone is still standing and waiting for all these interviews?
5) Do not let the press to pidzhenholam press, then allowed to walk with difficulty, accompanied by a guard. Pidzhenholy is generally sore point, they are thrust into a place that is where normal people go not just guess. Why not put them in the lounge area?
6) Fans were not let at the press conference, moreover, though even in their badge it is indicated that they are allowed. They referred to some kind of Olga, who allegedly told not to let the fans anywhere near. Question is being solved through the European Broadcasting Union.
7) In Euroclub the press was not allowed until 8 pm on the clock, ie beginning of the show, though the work of the press is not running during the show, but to take photos before it starts and do not interfere in the future.
The situation is such a level that, I'm sorry, soon they will put a security guard in the toilet and he will check whether the admission of the press is allowed there or not. Work in this state is absolutely impossible, we're constantly on nerves. Is it not clear that this creates an impression on the organization of the contest? Why not to create normal conditions? Moreover, the international press is only represented by us and official site at all. The rest of the press is focused only on the coverage of their countries. It whole leaves very negative impression on the subject, never in the past we have experienced this.
