Alex considered the music as his path all his life, taking every opportunity in order to express himself. Even as a small child, when he lived in a small village in East Hungary, he was thinking of the music, but he never showed anyone his ideas. He was getting first influenced by a big collection of records his parents used to have. Around the age of 15 he started composing his first tunes, at that time being electronic themes.

Alex has graduated from Philosophy department of University of Miskolc, started to learn Japanese, worked as journalist (he is editor of Tattoo Magazine), but nevertheless music has remained his priority. In the high school and in the university he plays in a band "Love Story Bar". At this period public got the first chance to get acquainted with Alex songs. He later joines another project, "My Gift To You", playing in rock-metal style, but then decides to start his solo career.

His first single was "Csókolom", which was written already in his University band - it got on the radio MR2 and climbed to 3rd place on VIVA TV Chart Show. His next song was "Láttamoztam", music video on which also was rotated on VIVA, MTV, Music Channel.

Alex admits, he had no intention to enter Eurovision preselection A Dal, but was persuaded by his management, CLS company, that also produced last years entrants "Compact Disco". He never thought that he has enough stage experience for such a show, but managed to get surprising victory with persuasive majority of 40%.

"Kedvesem" (My sweetheart) is about a really hard part of my life when I have created the ideal "lover", who of course, was based on my own experiences", he describes. The rough idea of the song came to him three years ago, but only in the end of 2012 took final shape. The final, performance version, is actually a remix made by Zoltán Palásti Kovács 'Zoohacker'. English version of the song will be presented shortly, however Alex himself has stated that he would like to perform Hungarian version at Eurovision.

ByeAlex is joined on stage by Swedish born guitarist Dániel Kővágó and backing-vocalist Helga Wéber, who also performed backing vocals for Compact Disco last year. Gábor Gundel Takács will provide commentary to the contest on MTV1 and Duna World.

Позднее, он присоединяется еще к одному проекту "My Gift To You", игравшему в стиле рок-металл, но затем решает заняться сольной карьерой.

Первым его синглом стала песня "Csókolom", написанная еще в составе университетской группы - она попала на радио MR2 и достигла 3го места в чарте VIVA TV. Вторым хитом стала "Láttamoztam", видеоклип на которую ротировался на VIVA, MTV, Music Channel.

Алекс признает, что у него не было никакого намерения принять участие в отборе Евровидения, но его уговорили продюсеры, компания CLS, которая также занималась прошлогодними участниками Евровидения "Compact Disco". Сам он совершенно не считал, что у него достаточно опыта для участия в подобном шоу, но неожиданно  он смог добыть победу с подавляющим большинством - 40% голосов.

"Kedvesem" (Моя дорогая) - песня о довольно сложном периоде моей жизни, когда я создал в своем воображении идеальную любимую, основывавшуюся на моем прежнем опыте", описывает он. Общая идея песни пришла к нему еще три года назад, но приобрела окончательные очертания только в конце 2012 года. Финальная версия для выступления - на самом деле ремикс к песне, созданный Золтаном Паласти Ковачем 'Zoohacker'. Английская версия песни будет представлена в ближайшее время, однако, сам Алекс говорит о том, что предпочел бы исполнить на Евровидении венгерскую версию.

С ByeAlex на сцене выступают родившийся в Швеции гитарист Даниель Кеваго и бэк-вокалистка Хельга Вебер, которая также была на бэк-вокале у группы Compact Disco в прошлом году. Габор Гундел Такач станет комментатором конкурса на MTV1 и Duna World.

26/04 “I've never sat in an airplane, so singing at Eurovision will not be the only challenge”, writes Hungarian entrant ByeAlex on his Facebook page. “I have no idea what can be expected of the trip. But today I’ve got details of my first ever airline ticket. Seems that me and the flight won’t be able to avoid each other…”

In Malmo Alex will be getting a new tattoo, previously he was famous for the piano one. “If all goes well, on 14^th you will be able to see something by local celebrity master Peter Legergren. I love his work, it was a pleasure to prepare it”.

Hungarian singer has also been featured in May edition of Playboy magazine. “Mr. Hipster Popstar”, he is called there. Couple of days ago he has released a new song “Nekemte”. Just before departure, on May 4, singer will perform in TF Napok in Buda.  

В Мальме Алекс планирует сделать себе новую татуировку, ранее он был известен изображением фортепиано. "Если все пройдет успешно, то 14го мая вы увидите работу местного знаменитого мастера Петера Легергрена. Я обожаю его работы, и было очень приятно готовить ее".

Также венгерский певец попал в майский выпуск местного издания журнала Playboy, где его назвали "Mr. Hipster Popstar", выпустил новую песню "Nekemte", а незадолго до своего вылета в Швецию, 4го мая, даст концерт в TF Napok в Буде.

08/04 We all know that ByeAlex will perform his song at the Eurovision Song Contest in Hungarian, a language only few understand. Despite that, it has already inspired fans around the world to record a cover of the song. Fans are in for a surprise now! In order to spread the song's message throughout the world, a special international video campaign has been  launched where fans are invited  to translate Kedvesem into their own language!

How to participate?

We provide the official English lyrics of ByeAlex's song, enabling anyone around the world to translate it into any language. The official English lyrics are written by Johnny K. Palmer, who also wrote the lyrics of Kati Wolf’s “What About My Dreams?”. In order to translate the song into your own language, you can use the English lyrics, which title is “One For Me”.

Participants are asked to send their videos to the official Hungarian ESC Facebook site where they will be shared with a broad audience.

Participants of the campaign can download for free  the Swedish-Hungarian version of the song here. This special campaign will end on 10 May.

Далее участники приглашаются опубликовать свои видео на официальной странице Венгрии на Евровидении в Facebook, где с ними сможет познакомиться широкая аудитория.

03/04 Last week, the national selections have concluded and all the entries for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest have been handed in at the official Head of Delegations meeting in Malmö. Now the delegations and the producers of the show are working together to create the best possible stage presentation for each song. Еach delegation can make suggestions for the stage setting and the camerawork but in the end it's the producers who have to make sure that not only each entry comes across well on the TV screens, but also that the whole show of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest is professional, entertaining, and diverse. To give the producers a first idea, each delegation explains the themes of their performance and the atmosphere they want to create on stage.

Today, Eurovision.tv has presented ideas behind staging of the Hungarian entry Kedvesem by ByeAlex. As it is a love song the delegation has asked for an intimate and romantic setting. However, they also emphasize that Kedvesem is not a stereotypical love song but the lyrics are playful and even a bit humorous. Thus, they prefer not to use typical symbols of love but rather abstract expressions as they are also mentioned in the song lyrics.

The team behind the singer explains: "The crucial element in ByeAlex' concept is actually the background animation, which was created by the singer's sister and has been tightly connected to the song since A Dal, the Hungarian national selection. For this year's Eurovision Song Contest, however, we can only give hints and suggestions on the atmosphere, colours and light design to be used. So we tried to give as many background information as possible on the story behind the song, the creative process that led to it, and the way ByeAlex is going to perform it on stage in May, and we submitted the original animations too. And then we leave it to the creative people in the production team to design a great setting for our entry. It will be kept as simple as the performance at A Dal as ByeAlex wants to remain true to himself."

In conclusion, there is still a lot going on behind the scenes before the rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest start, as the Hungarian delegation confirms: "It's always a very exciting moment and we are very nervous when we see the stage setting that has been created for us for the first time. I think all delegations probably share this feeling. Of course, there are bound to be disappointments but in the end you have to wait and see, and think positive. After all, it's the goal of everyone involved to produce the best possible TV show."

It has also been confirmed that despite earlier rumours, Hungarian entry will be performed fully in Hungarian language, as it was submitted during the Heads of Delegations meeting.

На прошлой неделе национальные отборы к конкурсу Евровидение были завершены и все участвующие в конкурсе песни были официально заявлены на встрече глав делегаций в Мальме. С этого дня делегации и продюсеры шоу работают вместе, для того, чтобы создать наилучшие сценические воплощения для каждой песни. Каждая делегация может внести предложения по расстановке на сцене и работе камер, но окончательное решение будет оставаться за продюсерами шоу, которые должны убедиться, что не только каждая песня в отдельности хорошо смотрится на экранах ТВ, но и все шоу Евровидения в целом является профессиональных, развлекательным и разнообразным. Для того, чтобы дать продюсерами идеи, каждая делегация объясняет желательную тематику их сценического выступления и ту атмосферу, которую они хотят создать на сцене.

Сегодня, Eurovision.tv представил идеи, которые лежат в основе постановки номера на венгерскую песню Kedvesem певца ByeAlex. Поскольку это песня о любви, то делегация попросила создать интимную и романтическую обстановку. Однако, они также подчеркивают, что Kedvesem не является стереотипной песней о любви, но ее текст довольно игривый и даже несколько юмористический. Таким образом, они предпочитают не использовать типичные символы любви, а скорее абстрактные выражения, поскольку они также упоминаются в песне.

Команда певца объясняет: "Важным элементом в концепции ByeAlex на самом деле является фоновая анимация, которая была создана сестрой певца и был тесно связана с песней, со времени шоу А Дал, венгерского национального отбора на Евровидение. Однако, для международного конкурса, мы можем только дать свои идеи и предложения по поводу атмосферы, цветового и светового дизайна, которые возможно будут использованы. Таким образом, мы постарались дать как можно больше информации об истории песни, творческом процессе, который привел к ее созданию, и о том, как ByeAlex будет исполнять ее на сцене в мае. Мы также предоставили и оригинальную анимацию. Но теперь мы оставляем последнее слово за творческой командой продюсеров шоу и мы надеемся, что они создадут отличную расстановку на сцене для нашей песни. Вообще, номер будет сохраняться настолько простым, насколько это возможно, как и на A Dal, поскольку ByeAlex хочет оставаться верным самому себе".

Таким образом, множество событий происходит за кулисами еще до начала репетиций на конкурсе Евровидения, как это и подтверждает венгерская делегация: "Это всегда очень волнующий момент, и мы очень нервничаем, когда мы видим декорации, которые были созданы для нас. Я думаю, что все делегации разделяют эти чувства. Конечно, обязательно будут и разочарования, но в конце концов нужно подождать и посмотреть, и стараться мыслить позитивно. Ведь все-таки, создание наилучшего возможного ТВ-шоу - это общая задача всех, вовлеченных в него".

Также было подтверждено, что, несмотря на слухи, венгерская песня будет исполняться в Мальме полностью на венгерском языке, так - как она был заявлена в ходе заседания глав делегаций.

В предварительных этапах жюри и телезрители выбирают по 3 полуфиналиста, в полуфиналах - жюри и телезрители выбирают по 2 финалиста. В финале 2го марта, жюри из пяти членов отберет четырех суперфиналистов из восьми претендентов, а победитель будет определен телеголосованием. В состав профессионального жюри вошли Виктор Раконцай (композитор, участник VIP, Венгрия 1997), Йену Чисар (радиоведущий), Филип Ракай (программный директор), Магди Ружа (Венгрия 2007) и Чаба Валку (солист Compact Disco, 2012).
