- Angel in Disguise Special event "Dusseldorf, Venim" (Dusseldorf,
Here We Come) will be organized by TVR Romania on April 9 and broadcasted transmitted live
on TVR 1 and TVR International. So far, several Romanian personalities have announced
their presence in this show, together with former participants in ESC: Nicola (2003) and
Mihai Traistariu (2006), as well as representatives in ESC 2011 from Slovakia, Bosnia
Herzegovina and Moldova. Eurovision promo-weekend in Belgium has been significantly loosing over the years it's popularity. This year, only 3 countries attended it. On Friday delegations of Romania and Latvia started the show performing during the Eurovision "de luxe" party in Cocteau club in Ghent. Saturday has been dominated by the press promotion. In the afternoon the delegation of Romania, Latvia and by then arriving Slovakia took part at the official reception in Ghent, where also two members of Witloof Bay made their appearance. On Sunday as usual Romanian community in Belgium had Easter event at St. Catherine in Brussels with a series of gigs. On April 24th on the main square of Ukraine - Independence Square
- a grandiose concert dedicated to the departure of Mika Newton to the Eurovision Song
Contest 2011. To support the talented contestant from Ukraine arrived her colleagues from
Great Britain, France, Austria, Azerbaijan, and Moldova. The whole concert was broadcasted
live by the First National Channel. On the main stage of the country also performed
popular Ukrainian artists: Alyosha, Ruslana, Vitaly Kozlovsky, Andrey Kravchuk, Kirill
Turichenko, Zhemchug, Marta, Masha Sobko, Zaklyopki and others. Auditorium of the event
was over 150 000 people. This year, already 21 countries have confirmed participation in the event. 2009 promo-event collected 21 country, while 17 countries have appeared in Amsterdam last year. As usual the event consists out of 2 elements: a day programme with cultural influences (for press only) and a concert later at night. The concert will take place at Club Air; currently one of the leading clubs of the Amsterdam nightlife and located in the heart of the city centre. The concert will be hosted by the 2003 Dutch Eurovision representative Esther Hart, former Dutch commentator Cornald Maas and German presenter / comedian Sascha Korf. This year's Dutch representatives, 3JS, will receive all participating contestants of Eurovision in Concert in their hometown Volendam. Right after the red carpet ceremony and reception with deputy mayor of the city, press will be able to conduct interviews and take pictures. The day program will be closed by a lunch. Right after, all delegations will take off to Amsterdam for the promo concert, which takes place in club 'Air' at 20.00 hrs CET. Doors will be open at 19.00 hrs. Cafе Rouge (Amstel 60, Amsterdam) will organise a preparty on Friday and an afterparty on Saturday.
