| Charlotte
Perrelli (Nilsson) was born on October 7, 1974 in Hovmantorp, Sweden. At thirteen
Charlotte joined a local band Bengt Ingvars. After finishing her compulsory school
education, Charlotte moved to the town of Vaxjo where she attended the High School of
Performing Arts. She also became the lead singer of the band Kendix. In 1994 Charlotte
started singing with the well-established dansband Anders Engbergs. After two albums,
Charlotte left the band and joined the highly successful dansband Wizex in 1997. In 1998
the band was nominated for a Swedish "Grammis" (Grammy) for the album "Mot
nya mеl" and the album "Tusen och en natt" sold gold. Charlotte was ready
to go solo. After being selected as the Swedish contestant for the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest Charlotte went to Jerusalem in late May to compete with her song "Take Me To Your Heaven". She won and her solo career really took to the skies. The following months were hectic for Charlotte, she toured Europe and started working on her first solo album; the self titled "Charlotte". Later that year Charlotte was voted Sweden's sexiest woman by the magazine Cafe. 2001-2003: In 2001 she released her second album, which included the top 20 hit single "You Got Me Going Crazy". Charlotte hosted the first semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2003 together with Mark Levengood and Lena Philipsson. In April of 2003 she did Jesus Christ Superstar. In September she released the new single "Broken Heart", which was followed up by the album "Gone Too Long" in June 2004. She also joined Robert Wells, Jill Johnson and others on the Rhapsody In Rock-tour in mid 2004. After the success in Melodifestivalen 2003, Charlotte was once again offered to host Melodifestivalen 2004. Charlotte, Peter Settman and Ola Lindstrom hosted the entire tour together. After the festival, TV4 offered her an own show on the channel. The show was called "Super Troupers" which was a talent-show for kids. One of the contestants was Amy Diamond, who is now a successful singer. In May 2007 Charlotte was the Swedish expert in the Nordic preview show panel discussion about the Eurovision Song Contest. The contestants and their songs and chances to win were commented on. She was also a part of the panel in 2005. Charlotte is married to Stockholm-based Italian restaurateur Nicola Ingrosso, brother of Emilio Ingrosso who was married to another Swedish singer Pernilla Wahlgren in the 1990s. Following a feud with the rest of the family, Charlotte and Nicola decided to change both of their last names to Perrelli. They reside in Stockholm with their two sons. (Wikipedia) |

Шарлотта замужем за итальянским ресторатором Николой Ингроссо, братом Эмилио Ингроссо, который был женат на еще одной успешной шведской певице Пернилле Вальгрен. Belarus day 2 Today Iґve had a promo day in Minsk in Belarus. Everything started when the alarm clock rang at 06:00 am. Wiiieee!! I only had three hours this night, because I sang at a nightclub here in town ... so I was actually pretty tired. The first thing on the schedule was a Good morning Show. In had my Russian translator at my right side during the interview and he also speaks Swedish. Itґs rather complicated to do interviews because people don't speak English here. So I also had a translator from English to Russia. In the entrance to the TV station there is a Museum with the first TV camera and the first TV with a very small screen. I had a quick guiding and it was actually very interesting. After that we did some radio interview on main radio stations. It were a good time and of course a lot of questions about Eurovision Song Contest. Press conference at noon ... so we missed the lunch. A lot of press from the daily newspaper, Eurovision sites and radio as well. A TV team followed me during the day and when we got some minutes left over we did short shoots. We had a late lunch around 5 pm and the we continued with another TV show. Belarius & Latvia 10 000 meter over water! We're have been in Latvia, Riga and done some promotion. I've done some daily newspapers and tv. While I was waiting for the connection flight I took a massage in a massage chair, it was assume I'm figuring out if I can by one, It would be greate to have at home! WIIEE! Now we're on the plane going to Belarus, Minsk, we're flying with a small plane and it's a bumpy ride. When we arrive to Minsk there're some radio intervjues waiting for me. Later on I'll do some daily newspapers and on the evening I perform at a nightclub! Promotion in Finland Yesterday I was in Finland and did some promotion for my Eurovision song, HERO. I'll hope you like it as much as I do!? Offcourse I forgot my hair-curler at home so the day started with some shopping at Stockman's. The rest of the day I did some intervjues for radio, newpapers, magazines, webb-tv... It all ended up on the ferry from Finland to Sweden, Stockholm. |

в Беларусь, день 2 Сегодня у меня был промо день в Минске, Беларусь. Все началось со звонка будильника в 6 утра. У меня было всего три часа на сон, потому что ночью я выступала в ночном клубе... поэтому я была сильно уставшей. Первым в расписании было участие на утреннем шоу государственного телевидения. Со мной был мой переводчик с русского, который говорит по шведски. Для меня очень тяжело давать такие интервью, потому что люди здесь на говорят по английски. Поэтому у меня также был переводчик с английского на русский. Перед входом в телекомпанию, у них там есть такой музей, где хранятся первая камера и первый телевизор с маленьким экраном. Меня там немного поводили и было действительно интересно. Потом мы дали интервью основным радиостанциям. Как обычно, было много вопросов о конкурсе Евровидение. В полдень была пресс-конференция... поэтому пришлось пропустить обед. Очень много прессы, начиная с ежедневных газет, сайтов о Евровидении и радиостанций.ю Команда телеканала следовала за мной целый день и в свободные минуты мы делали короткие съемки. Обед состоялся в 5 вечера, а потом мы отправились еще на одно телешоу. Беларусь и Латвия 10000 метров над водой! Мы побывали в Риге и сделали небольшой промоушен. Я дала интервью газетам и телеканалу. Пока я ждала рейса, мне сделали массаж на массажном кресле. Сейчас мы летим в Беларусь, Минск, это маленький самолет и его постоянно трясет. Когда мы приехали в Минск нас ждали радио интервью. Потом я дала интервью газетам и вечером я выступаю в ночном клубе! Промоушен в Финляндии Вчера я была в Финляндии. Немного шоппинга в магазине Стокман, потому что я забыла щетку для завивки волос дома. В течении остального для мы давали интервью радио, газетам, журналам... Все закончилось на пароме из Финляндии в Стокгольм. |

and cities for Swedish Melodifestivalen 2008 have been announced: Semifinal 1: 9th of February, Scandinavium, Goteborg Semifinal 2: 16th of February, ABB Arena, Vasteras Semifinal 3: 23rd of February, Cloetta Center, Linkoping Semifinal 4: 1st of March, Telenor Arena Karlskrona, Karlskrona Second Chance: 8th of March, Arena Arctica, Kiruna Final: 15th of March, Globen, Stockholm 3434 entries have been received for participation in the national final - which mades a record for Sweden. 28 of the will enter semifinal stage. Organizers will add to them 4 specially invited performers - "wildcards". |
